As one of the leading suppliers and manufacturers of garage doors across the UK, here at Tradedor, we take our responsibility to operate in an environmentally-friendly manner very seriously. We’re always looking for new, innovative ways to reduce our carbon footprint. In fact, we’ve already introduced a number of different initiatives, for example:
Where possible, we replace foam packaging with cardboard or a type of recyclable bubble wrap. This makes it easier for us and our customers to recycle the materials that we use.
Where foam is absolutely essential for the work that we carry out, we make sure to use reusable foam that can be returned to us with each van that goes out to install a new garage door or deliver a trade door.
On site, we have separate waste containers for different types of materials – for example, wood, steel and aluminium. This makes our recycling operations much more streamlined, and allows us to greatly reduce waste build up on site, too.
But that’s not all. While we’re happy with our efforts to reduce Tradedor’s overall environmental impact, we’ve got some plans in place for the future, too, these are:
We are in the process of providing paperless instructions for the installation of our doors, making it much easier for you, the customer, to reduce your impact on the environment.
We intend to recycle even more plastic, where the use of bubble wrap is absolutely essential.
Finally, we plan to overhaul our logistics operations with the aim of further reducing our carbon footprint.
